Hoping all you kayak folks won't mind. I'm currently building a double outrigger sailing canoe (Wa'apa design)  which I hope to finish up in the next couple weeks, then will be trying some fishing from it. It is car-toppable in three 8' sections, so will be either 16' or 24' depending on if I put the middle one in. Will seat 2 or 4. Based in Port Angeles, WA, but I do plan on using it all over the NW.

I'll post pics when I'm finished painting it and it is assembled, but this is similar to how it will be  (this one is single outrigger)....

Ambitious but very interesting. Trolling for silvers, a PA strong point should great. I’d pay to watch (or ride) to see what it takes to fish for kings/lings. Looks like a lot of fun and a great sport. Very nice.

It looks like the Maliibu Outrigger that Tim Niemier has been posting a lot about recently.

I'd sail it!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Nice lookin' boat...  I'd be really interested in your sail and rigging designs, looking to redo my home-built (strictly amateur-hour!) design on my 'yak...
