very impressed with a custom sized canine wetsuit that I just added to Pepper's safety gear and I wanted to share the details with the NWKA community.

http://surfnseacustomwetsuits.com/ is the supplier through the website  http://doggiewetsuits.com.

6 measurements are used to get a good fit, the suit opens down the back.  A 4" wide black velcro strip down the back that allows fine tuning the fit.  There are several colors of 2mm neoprene to choose from.   from order to delivery was about 2 weeks.  large sized dog suit cost me $69.

fit on Pepper is excellent, here is our first beach running test:

That is great!  Can they come with a handle we could grab the dog out of the water with and back onto our boat?

that would be part of any canine PFD, I am a big fan of this MTI UnderDog that puts the floatation underneath the dogs belly and neck.  By floating them higher in the water, it should make it easier to bring them back on board.  Pepper and I will soon be doing some team recovery practice on the new Outback, I am expecting to be able to kneel on the seat, lean into the seat back, and easily pull her onto the low rear deck.

I use a PFD for my Aussie. I love the handles on top so I can drag him back on board when he goes swimming! It's made by Outward Hound.
