Looking like Tillamook bay for Tuesday launch around 0830-0900 with a low tide at 1149 so likely back on shore around 1300-1400 might get a little windy but forecast is calling for less the 10mph. I’ll be dropping two or three crab traps. Targeting rock fish.

Hey Shannon!  Let us know how it goes. I've personally given up on fishing afternoon low tides (or close to noon). I've gone when they've forecasted less than 5mph winds, and it seems like its ALWAYS blowing there by noon. I may have to change my mind and try it again if you get good results....Im also curious how crowded the bay will be during spring break. A report on the number of boats out there would be appreciated as well!  Cheers

Not a problem Cody, listening the to Popo scanner I’m guessing 90% of the F’N tourist will either be in traction or handcuffs by Tuesday.  >:D 3 wrecks in the last hour with two of them lifeflight in route, one entrapment, the other two motorcycles, didn’t catch the 3 but he refused transport and got a ride to the emergency room.

Mojo, the Coast Guard has closed Tillamook today, do you think it will settle overnight and re-open tomorrow?
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

We gotta a little front going through, the bar usually isn’t a concern since we’re around the bend on the jetty. Magic seaweed shows less swell tomorrow as well.

Was waiting for cjweinhe to post up the report but his phone died and he’s got a lot on his plate tonight so he told me to post up.

Great morning to be in the water, I forgot my trailer keys at home and didn’t realize it till I got to Garibaldi, DOH! After a run back to Tillamook for my keys I got the trailer out of storage and hooked up to a slightly late launch at 0930. It was smooth sailing out to the fishing grounds with cjweinhe, his son, and I. Got out 5 crab traps between us in the water and started our jetty drifts. Our new to the salt Jr got the first strike with a 12 to 13 inch cabizon, then the second with a beautiful colored underling at 18 inches. He also caught the only two keeper black rocks at 11 and 12 inches. cjweinhe also landed a littl cabizon. We got 4 keeper crabs for our time on the water 1445 headed back in.
For the tragic it was really light as was the wind, only 6-8 boats in view most of the time wit one on the aluminum sleds and his 4 grandkids nailing the rocks left and right on night crawlers, sand shrimp, sand worms, and various plastic baits.
Photos to come in sets of 2 as my phone can’t manage more then that at a time. Had a blast with my homie and my new homie Jr.

We put the two sea bass in the burlap with the crabs for the 15 second walk to the cleaning station and one of the feisty little buggers didn’t want to let go of his last supper. He’s totally holding the bigger of the two rockfish up at the sink.  :spittake: I got even with him while he got a “splitting” headache.  >:D

My son said the best part of the day was catching the 18" Lincod but wished he could take it home and eat it. :)

Thanks again Shannon for helping make my son's first trip to the bay "awesome"
