I just bought my first VHF, a Standard Horizon HX40.  While setting it up last night I went to program presents and memory for channels.  Everything I have read indicates that Depoe Bay Harbormaster operates on Channel 80, but out of the box I could not tune to channel 80, just channel 1080 (old channel 80A).  While channel 80 and 1080 transmit on the same frequency, they receive on different ones.    I changed the channel group on the radio from "USA" to "International" and was then able to tune to Channel 80.

I just wanted to make sure I had that correct that Depoe is on Channel 80 and not 1080 and that changing to "international" will not make anything screwy.

Thanks!
