I just pick up a used PA12, and buy an extra control arm. After install the second control are on the yak, I can not get the two arms point straight and line up with the rudder. I can line up one arm with the rudder, and the other arm point off to the left or right depending on which arm is line up with rudder. After searching the internet and ask a few questions and follow people advises (adjust the rudder lines). None of the suggestions work. I look at the steering diagram on Hobie website, it sounds like the upper wire loop is not correct. I did open the hatch and look under line on the upper loop, They look fine to me. So I end up adjusting the arms slightly off center, see attach hand sketch. I would like to fix this if I could, any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
