Anyone planning on fishing kings for the Elliott Bay opener?  I am planning to launch as soon as it is light enough to see and fish it pretty much straight out of the dock.

I will probably hit it. Will be my first time trying for kings but I am familiar with Elliot bay, been there a few times recently for crab.

I'm definitely interested in getting out there this weekend. Where do you plan to launch?

Don Armeni boat ramp. It's open east of Duwamish Head. I figured troll plugs or herring and flashers near the bottom back and forth from duwamish head to the river mouth.

Back in the late 90s,  I used to fish Elliot Bay in my PB.  I'd motor-mooch from just north of the ferry terminal in a southerly direction and then across Harbor Island (east to west then back).  Sometimes,  I go as far north as the Space Needle.  I'd start at 30' (early morning) and drop to 60' as the day progressed.  Not sure of the conditions now,  but good luck.

I'd keep an eye on Alki Point.  I caught my very first King,  just off the Point (water depth 60'),  on the ebb tide.
Cape Falcon F1 (homemade, skin boat)
Trident 13
Necky Dolphin 14

Sadly wasn't able to make it out today.  Had a family situation come up that took my attention. Anyone do any good?
