Open invite. Headed out of either Dash Point State Park or Redondo. Probably around 8am... looking for some salmon.

I’m relatively new to kayak fishing so don’t expect much haha

Cheers

Wish I could join you but got another commitment.  Might be last weekend for chinook.  I'll be curious how difficult it is to launch and/or land from Dash Pt park as it looks like such a shallow beach.
Good luck!  I might try and get out the 25th if I can.

Good luck Ken, I launched there this morning, saw a few pinks,  but no big schools. I only fished 630 to 9 or so.  I'd join but gotta chase albacore

I have been having good luck at Redondo this summer.  I might be there Saturday morning, but much earlier than 8.

That’s good to hear. I suppose the only reason I was going with 8 was that is when the park gate opens. Do you just launch at the boat ramp or is there a gravel section to put in at over on Redondo? My kayak is to hefty to lift loaded so I use my ctug straight to the sand or water. Thanks for the info...

I have been using the launch, but it does get more than a little crazy on a Saturday morning.  You don't want to delay anyone's boat launch by more than 1.2 seconds unless you like getting cussed at. The launch when it's busy is really one of the worst displays of humanity I have seen in a long time. Since you have wheels, you can walk it down from the parking lot.  In the early morning there are sometimes still a few free street spots as well.

There will be a Tupperware Fleet tomorrow at the mouth of the puyallup over in Tacoma, but we’re chasing pinks not kings. Either way it oughta be fun.

Hope you guys did better than I. Lots of wildlife though.

Lots of boats out there with us. Didn’t see a single net used... I ended up with a piece of bait that was smaller than my lure, and one small dogfish. That was it. Nice day on the water though.
