We will be going over to Eagle Crest for a few days for my daughter's birthday on Valentine's day, hence the name Valerie. I have the opportunity to bring my kayak, and can probably get about it half day to fish. The closer to Eagle Crest, the more time I can get to fish.
Looking at probably Prineville Res or Lake Billy Chinook. Never fished either one.
Where would you suggest to launch, and how would you recommend I fish?
Thanks, I really appreciate it!

The closest choices would be Billy Chinook for bull trout or Kokanee.  Haystack, Ochoco or Prineville Reservoirs would be good trolling for trout and all similar distance.  When you decide which direction you might go, let me know, I might have some pointers.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I fished LBC today for about 4 hours on the water. Managed 2 Kokanee, my 1st ever bull trout and a big whitefish. Fun morning, and back to the condo in time to eat lunch and watch the ducks women's basketball game. Go Ducks!

Nice fish. That might be a Pike minnow/squawfish. The mouth looks pretty big to be a whitefish. Were the kokanee jumping at all? I really want to go back and try for those guys.

I saw a couple jumpers. Lots of small schools on the move. I would mark a school on the GPS. Come back 15 minutes later and couldn't find them again.

Yeah, I am not for sure on that fish. I got it right after the bull trout. Pulled pretty hard, had me pretty excited until I saw what it was.

Looking at it now, I think like minnow. No adipose fin. Now I wish I would have killed it.
