I think I will go paddle around Green Peter in search of? Whatever. Fresh air and a little exercise will be guaranteed. Hopefully find a few fish.

Tempting.... If you had posted that a few days ago I'd probably join you (from a distance). I was thinking about going there this weekend but the drive is a little longer for me. I made my first attempt at kokanee fishing there back in Feb and only came up with that 7.5" fish that will put me in the running for the Tiny Fish Slam, but was otherwise a bit unsatisfying. I have unfinished business there... I've been seeing a lot of pictures of bass getting caught on social media lately so I may opt for the shorter drive (for me) to Hagg Lake and try for some spring bass. Good luck, and I hope to see pictures that will make me regret my decision!

Darn. I’m out of town this weekend or would have taken you up on that. My brother and I were there this last week but didn’t have any luck. It was however our first time going after Kokanee so that doesn’t mean much.

I'd hung up the steelhead gear and got the kokanee gear out a few weeks ago thinking about a run up there soon. Probably not going to do it now until this virus thing dies down. Good luck.

If you're traveling out of your area - and I didn't ask how the State and ODFW are defining "local area" right now - the State is prepared and perfectly willing to shut down fishing.  Please use some common sense and don't f-it up for everyone.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

For me it is fairly close. In fact I won't even pass through any towns to get there.

The Thissell creek ramp is open. About 20 power boats on the water today. Fishing wasn't good for me. Paddling was really good.

Good to know. Are the kokes still running small this year?
