HE is the one who ought to be locked away so he's not suggesting people do really stupid stuff to themselves.

If I didn't believe that every death is an unfathomable tragedy, I'd suggest that we allow him to continue these crazy suggestions in hopes that we'd raise the mean IQ of our electorate by a few points. Between fomenting these lockdown protests and touting unproven & downright lethal medical treatments, he's running the risk of wiping out his base.

Yet the two knuckleheads that drank aquarium cleaner were donors to the democrat party, hmmmm.

Please provide a citation for this if it's true.  And also provide an explanation as to why party affiliation matters for this.  Stupidity knows no political boundaries.

The point was made in response to the text I made bold above.

While it is true stupidity has no political affiliation, stupid people do and it should not be a shield for their ignorance.

That's an anecdotal example. I understand the urge to provide it but it doesn't disprove that the people who are most likely to listen to the advice of the current occupant of the White House, are his base, since they're the ones who actually trust what he says.

some links for the "stay the fuck home crowd"... there is some critical thinking that needs to be done on whether or not youre just scared... or whether or not you really have empathy for the majority. the majority do not get hospitalized.... the majority do not even know they had it... a large number of americans are losing their jobs... losing their businesses... losing their opportunity at better health due to the system not allowing them to be served.

FISHING IS NOT RIDING THE SUBWAY IN NEW YORK CITY... in fact... in the PNW fishing is not even close to going to a gas station... for those that are worried you have the liberty to stay home and self quarantine longer if YOU choose. but to berate this point to death in light of the ever developing facts that this thing is no worse than a flu virus that we were not ready for is not really an intellectually honest stance.  Neighborhood cats can get it... its here... there is no "stopping it" we can only live with it. right now most of the country is not living life.

The curve is flattened... if you die from this thing you most likely (over 99%) have multiple co-morbidities which means you are unhealthy or immuno compromised. the "second wave" people are scared... its their right to be scared... but they are also irrational in regards to how long this "lock down" can be handled by the small businesses (which employ more americans than any other entity in our economy) and in regards to the lethality of the virus which was inadvertantly over blown in the beginning (which i would rather have an overblown response than an not serious one)... but the problem so far is that we are not adapting from that overly serious stance... and many people... including people in this thread are so scared that they are willing to sacrifice others with an ever extending lock down.... which... sure... lock yourself down, wash your hands, wear a mask if it makes you feel good, etc... just dont tread on your healthy, no-comorbidity, under the age of 75, hand washing, getting out of the house fellow citizens. this thing is at the point where in many ways we need more people to get exposed so that we can build up herd immunity... again... for the people thinking this thing is going away it is not... it will now be a part of our seasonal flu buffet.

wow, you used the word "scared" several times.  I think a better word is 'patriotic'.  As in, people thinking beyond themselves, not being selfish, looking at our society as a whole and taking actions and/or making sacrifices for the better of us all.

we are not minimizing trips off our property, keeping our fishing/exercise/recreating close to home, and wearing masks while at the grocery store because we are "scared" of catching it, we are 'attacking' the virus this way to minimize spreading it to others.  the more people that get the virus, especially if they are asymptomatic or are going to recover just fine, the more it gets spread around unknowingly to people that are at higher risk for complications and hospitalization.  and where that peaks and overwhelms medical support/equipment available, the result is excessive deaths due to rationing the facilities and equipment available.

worth reminding people, COVID-19 is a SARS virus, that's why it is designated SARS-CoV-2, if you get the SARS lung inflammatory symptom, which interferes with blood-oxygen transfer across the alveoli wall, even if you are healthy and young, you almost always need medical intervention (ventilator) to survive.  check with the epidemiologists, it would be a really bad idea to rely on herd immunity to deal with a SARS pandemic.  I have also not seen any epidemiologists that suggest relaxing our "attack" on this virus too much just because 'the curve has flattened a bit'.  That sounds sort of like taking a coffee break during a big military ambush just because we have slowed the enemies advance.  we need time to improve the treatment protocol (and as we've seen recently, it needs to be through urgent but proper double blind studies) and we need an effective vaccine.  the vaccine is the long-term solution but likely to happen after we have seen a second surge of cases.

I think being patriotic here is to protect our society as a whole and give our medical (and other essential workers) some respect and a bit of a breather by taking this over the top and down the other side of the peak before we ease up too much.  that also is what I am seeing the experts recommend.

Thank you for thanking this veteran that also works on an ambulance at his local fire department. I appreciate your thanks.

I would have figured the revos hull to be too narrow to safely handle the angles produced by that drive.

based on the 360PA Hobie videos I have watched, I think it very possible, especially if the Revo hull re-design, like what they did to the Outback hull in 2019, increases stability without adding drag.  I think it is more of a 'know your limitations' situation, like not rolling your SUV by taking turns too fast.
