Ifish has an update on the PC parking situation

In their PC Dory Fishing thread there's a link to the Tillamook County commissioners meeting, MP3 recording.

They're voting today to open the beach to boat launching and parking, they specifically mention kayaks as being a permitted vessel.

Have a listen starting about 28:00  https://www.co.tillamook.or.us/Video/VoiceFiles/_2020/06-05-20%20LT%20MEETING.mp3

No more public parking on the beach is what's going to happen now, and possibly forever.

I know it will make it safer in August when the SUVs gather to spawn along the seashore.

Excellent news!

Thanks for the update and the links.
I just listened to the audio and can easily see that for the dory fleet it is a safety concern to park away from the beach.

They have the audio up for this mornings meeting, it's worth a listen.
The beach is open for recreational launching 7 days a week.
The OPRD is keeping the no public parking on the beach in place.
Time for a bigger kayak launch vehicle sign.
