Took The day off yesterday, GF and I went to Twanoh State Park for some paddling. As we are both getting used to our yaks, we wanted to get some more time on the salt with them.  We got a late start but timed it after the low tide. We wanted to take advantage of the tide when we returned, or least that was the plan.  Conditions were perfect. As it was a weekday, there was minimal boat traffic. Temp was in the low seventies, and the water was nice and flat.  We first paddled across the canal, ate lunch. then  worked our way towards the Narrows, and stopping after Sisters Point, somewhere outside the opening to the Tahuya Inlet area.

This was already a long paddle for me, and I learned real quick my Stealth was no match for GF's Edyline Fathom LV, she had years of experience, a hundred " pound weight advantage, and kayak that was narrow and sleeker than mine. She spanked me most of the way.  On the return, we made a diagonal cut across the narrows and headed back. We had some gorgeous views of the Olympics.  Start time was around 2:30 PM and end time was 6:30 PM.  So four hours to paddle what we figure was 9.6 miles.  I know some of you have done far more than that, but for us it was a haul, my personnel longest paddle to date. I calculated the distance on google maps, and it is all approximate.

Sorry neither one of took pictures.

Sounds like a great time on the water! Thanks for sharing

I used to have an Eddyline Fathom too. They sure do cruise well
