I have 100 feet of leaded crab pot line, but I want to add another 100 feet of none leaded line. Can I do that? if I can, should I tie the none leaded line to the crab pot or on the buoy end?

Thanks in advance.

you can do whatever you want, but that's a lot of line. shrimping, perhaps?

you'll want to attach the non-weighted line to the crab pot side, so that the leaded line is attached to your float, and sinks beneath the surface. floating line on the surface poses a danger to other boaters, and i believe is illegal to use unless weighted down here in WA.

I like to do crabbing in Kayak point, but there are deep drop off and you get crab if you drop to 160 feet. I will buy the leaded line, thank you for your reply.

Not.  The weather closed the door, COVID-19 just locked it.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
