Who is heading to PC on Saturday? I'm still planning but I might be out there.

Edit:
I realized that I initially titled this for 7/10 but got the date wrong. I'm asking about Saturday the 11th.

I might be there. The dirty water off Depoe is being stubborn and refusing to move. I won't know my destination for sure until tomorrow.

What time are you looking to launch? I was thinking PC or Depoe.  More after bottom fish than salmon but may bring salmon gear along.

I'm planning to be there to launch around 8:00 or 8:30. This'll be my first time at PC. Thinking of dropping a crab pot and hunting for rockfish. Probably not salmon.

I'll be aiming for an 0600 arrival tomorrow. Focusing on salmon. Is there a preferred VHF channel among kayaks up there? 69?

I just got back from PC, will be at Depoe tomorrow.
The water is cleaner at PC, but the fishing wasn't better.
I kept two good black rocks and threw back a whopper of a cabbie at 8 inches.
This was the point of the trip though.  A full limit from a single pot.

Thanks for the report MF. Did you fish for salmon?

Huge clouds of black RF on Government Point lately. You should have no issue sticking a limit of them. Quality sizes too if you use larger baits.

I trolled for a couple hours for salmon, nothing.
Only went out to about 130 foot, should have gone farther.
Good luck tomorrow.

Copy, thanks. Good luck to you tomorrow as well. Even if I strike out tomorrow, PC will make for a nice change of scenery. Maybe I'll try to find that giant halibut Cap Redbeard hooked there last week  ;D.
