Paddle upgrade for Hobies

Was out of PC this week end and saw a few folk that did not have the std Hobie two piece paddle. Given that I feel effective paddling is one of the keys to getting out of and back through the surf.  I am wondering who all has upgraded, why and to what. All I do know is that they are crazy expensive.

Or cheap compared to a Hobie drive.

I have a Bending Branches Angler Ace mostly since I had a paddle yak before I bought my Compass.   Its reasonably priced and reasonably light.  I would probably just go to Next Adventure and talk to them and they could point you in the right direction
