Cowlitz river new guy.

Hey all.  Got a couple kayaks, looking for answers and have found many here, so I decided to join.  I fish mostly the Cowlitz river, my property is on the lower Cowlitz, and I fish the Columbia near Longview also. 

I’ve owned a Hobie quest 11 for Several years but fishing out of a paddle kayak in a steady flowing river is a pain.  I just recently got a used Hobie revolution 13, really wanted the outback, but the more I read on here I decided it was best to get a sleeker kayak because of the current... so glad I did, just for that little bump of speed.  I pedal 2 miles upriver to a real nice fish drift and the Revo makes it with some effort. I can honestly fish that drift better in my kayak than I can my boat.  Pretty fun.   Thank you for helping me with my choice.

If anybody Kayak fishes the Lower Cowlitz or near its confluence with the Columbia I’d like to see your Kayak setup and ask a few questions.
