Nobaddays and I will be hitting the ground at around 0530-0545 Monday morning for a quick clam grab followed by jetty rock fishing. Meet up behind the closed fish cleaning station in Garibaldi. Open invite, for the FNG’s it’s a good chance to get some salt water introductions in a fairly easy environment as well as gear use and setup.... not something you want to learn off shore or in the surf zone upside down.  >:D

Swing shift sucks for fishing  ;D I did manage to get up now, at 5:15. Sometimes I surprise myself!

Had a great day started out foggy and very calm, we all managed to catch some fish. I took 2 bay size rockfish. Had a first for me today red rock crab all the way out of the water holding my Gulp Minnow bait.

It was the foggiest, and most calm I have ever seen it out there. Two smaller blacks for me, and 6 crab. No pics of the pre cooked fish but this was lunch

It was great fishing with everyone again!

A couple more pics. Last pic is most interesting, top minnow came from one of Mojo’s rock fish. Bottom 3 are various baits I use. Today I was using the middle one. You could see bait fish jumping out of the water along the Jetty and schools of them around the coast guard pilings.

I was about to give a friendly reminder that the bag limit for rockfish is 5 this year, but I see they changed it to 7 as of 7/20/2020. My fault for not looking at the regs in 10 days  ;D

Looks like fun!

Sign yourself up for marine zone changes via txt or E-mail ;) You can subscribe for any zone changes you want to be notified for. They always send em out a few days in advance, I still look online every few weeks but so far I have not come across any surprises cause I knew they were coming ;)

Good advice - the thing is, I thought I was signed up for that. I must have missed it. I'll re-sign up just to make sure.

Thanks!
