Hello all!

I've recently moved to Seattle from he east coast and I've been dreaming about getting out kayak fishing around here. I finally managed to secure a storage spot so now I need an actual boat! I love to paddle but I'm thinking its time to make my fishing life easier and go with a peddle kayak. I'd love to get my hands on a Hobie Revo 13, but i'm open to other options. Anyone have anything they would like to sell? Please let me know if you have any leads, it seems kayaks are hard to come buy these days!

Personally, if I was to do this again, and I might... I would go with this one because I want to introduce my youngest daughter (and oldest if she's so inclined) to fishing from a kayak...

But this is the deal of the week to me:

Good luck!

I don't often see the Revo 13 priced significantly below this, and they haven't come up for sale much recently. I've seen speculation that COVID has put a hurt on new kayak production, so buyers are having to lean more heavily on the used market.

Judging from the picture in the post, I wonder how beat up the mirage drives are. Something to look at should you make the trip.

I was ready to drive down to Portland! Unfortunately, both are already sold. I'm getting the sense that this is going to be pretty tough..

I've been thinking about selling the 2011 Outback that's been sitting in my garage all year. Slower and heavier than a Revo, but it's fishy as hell.

It's covered in scratches and has orange tips where I used a Home Depot bucket to reinforce the bottom.

Turbo fins, aftermarket seat that I really like, and like 4 different Scotty mounts.

$1250

Might be selling my '17 in the fall or spring. I have a stupid idea of mounting an electric downrigger on a kayak and would want something more stable for that.

I'm sold out of all my Revo's at the moment but I have a Revo 16 coming in on my next shipment which should hopefully get here in the next 2-3 weeks.  Most of that shipment is pre-sold but I've still got some boats on it that aren't spoken for (Compass, Passport, Pro Anglers, Oasis, and a couple Outbacks if you can wait until early Sept).

from the Hobie forum, high demand is the issue:

Is it a revo? Are you sure you don't want to sell now? Procrastination is a terrible habit  ;)

I'm going to keep hold out and try to find a revo 13 before I start looking at other models. For at least a week. Really appreciate the suggestions and offers. Great group here!

Yeah, it's a 13. I like bringing my friends and coworkers out this time of year to catch Chinook, so not gonna sell anytime during the run. Might want to try the Gig Harbor Fly Shop, he might have a Revo laying round.

Not sure how deadset you are on a 13 compared to a 16:

A post-2014 Revo 16 just came up for sale on Fakebook -- loaded with a mess of gear (FF, mounts, sidekick amas, sailing rudder, etc) for 2500. Out of Tenino, WA. Priced way high for my tastes, but I'm also pretty cheap.

I have both an Adventure (Revo) 16 and a Revo 13... The 16 is somehow more easy to car top than the 13, and the 13 is considerably more maneuverable than the 16. Also, the 3 extra feet on the 16 can make storage more of a hastle if you're trying to get it into a confined space like a basement. Both boats are plenty stable if you've ever been on a real kayak. Here's a discussion on the relative merits of both boats:
