I’m looking for some easy  Kayak floatable rivers or river sections. If it has a small road or bike path near so I don’t need a shuttle that would be great.  I have done the Yakima near E burg for trout And lower Yakima for bass looking at the Green and Cedar rivers now as possible  Any other ideas. ESP salmon or steel head rivers. Maybe some Grays Harbor or Colombia tribes?  lm thinking this might help avoid combat fishing if I can float a mile or two down river From the parking lot

I've seen youtube vids of a guy fishing the Cowlitz. Looks like fun - might even be able to arrange for a local outfitter to truck you back to your car at the end of your run.

I've spent a lot of time huffing the bank of this river steelhead fishing, I'll pass on the kayak. The Chehalis is much more suited for kayaks and usually is good for Coho.

I've been kayak fishing the Cowlitz for years.  I always have my wife pick me up or park a buddies truck where we plan to get out.

If you're considering western stretch rivers, take a look at the Wynoochie , too

Gonna, try to cut and paste a recent article by Andy Walgomott. Might want to rethink your float trips.  Please let me know,if it doesn't work for you.. Using a new set , to me at least, of aandroid software here.

The link didn't work, but I just read that we can't fish from boats this year! That's alright, I still want to learn how to fish for steelhead on the bank. Low return numbers I hear, but I still want to try and have fun

I'll  keep working on posting it so its accessible , but basically, any coastal river,  bank fishing only, though you can use your boat or " floating device"  to get to and from your fishing spot.

Look up blue creek on the Cowlitz for the bank fishing. Kinda crowded combat fishing but a good place to get your feet wet. Had some epic 10+ fish nights down there 2012 - 2013.

Talked to a coworkers today whom I'd shared the article with.  Coincidentally he headed to the Bogachiel that vert weekend.   He told me that WDFW were everywhere checking for bait, scents, and other prohibited items. So, they seem to be serious about this.
