Sorry for the late notice, but the fish will be moving around a bunch this morning. I work at Vigor and I was talking to the dockmaster last week and he said when they take a ship out of dry dock it pushes a ton of fish that just hang out under the dry dock (where we cant get to them) out into the harbor.  There is a large ship coming out of dry dock this morning so if you can sneak away, there should a a few more fish cursing around.

Excellent heads-up!  Thanks!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

(...) There is a large ship coming out of dry dock this morning so if you can sneak away, there should a a few more fish cursing around.

The last bit made me chuckle, I know it was a typo ("r" to "u" transposed) but it made sense nevertheless: the fish should be cursing around since they were disturbed from their hiding place by the moving ship and hopefully while cruising around somebody on a kayak hooks them and make them go cursing around again until safely released!
Very cool! I have never tried sturgeon fishing from a kayak, only from shore so far, hope I get to try it sometime! Thanks for the insight info!

Maybe a slip!?!

Kayak sturgeon is a total must. Right up there with a 30# fall chinook. Then again, any fish and anytime kayak fishing is pretty damn good

I would be super stoked to catch a sturgeon in my kayak. If anyone plans on going out and targetting them, and doesn't mind me going with, please let me know!
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?
