Hey folks here is a video I did to show how I made outriggers for my Kayak. I think they are super cool and cool looking too but after using them a half a dozen times I have come to the conclusion that they are totally unnecessary. Well perhaps if I was in some heavy swells it might make it a bit more comfortable but honestly I don't foresee my self ever using them again.  I would also like to add that I need to work on my brevity, way too much gum flappin.

I like the way you made this outriggers. For my next yak, I will move the outriggers to the front instead of the back, this will make it easy to troll for salmon or other fish. I will use the outriggers in Shilshole Bay or when I go out for crab in high wind condition only.

Ya actually, pulling crab pots I would think that would be a logical time to use them. I hadn't thought about that excellent suggestion.
