I love using sculpin streamer patterns, on the fly rod. It seems everything eats them- salmon, steelhead, rainbows, cutthroats, char, perch, bass, walleye, flounder....

Funny that Roy should mention that cement ship. I fished off it a couple of times as a kid. My dad's best friend (and my godfather) lived in San Jose, and when we visited, we would go over to the coast for the day.

Roy, I think there are some striped bass down in your neck of the woods.  Do you ever year of anyone catching any?

I have heard of Stripers being caught down here, I haven't learned the specifics. Royg would be the man to ask.

I pretty much started really fishing this area seriously when i got my Kayak at the end of '07, so i still have alot to learn.
See ya on the water..

I use to climb all over that thing, all the way out to the front. Been out there when waves engulfed the deck and had to climb up the fence as water rushed over the deck...fun times!! Caught fish inside the ship.

It slowly got thrashed by storms and has been closed for many years now, just the pier is open.
