So, have yet to get my new Outback on the water, due to a combination of  family matters, bad weather, and steelhead fever.

I have however completed constructing my PVC rod rack, modified a nice Cannon downrigger (I have a second, unmodified one, for sale or trade, if anyone is interested) for kayak use, and verified that the second Lowrance Elite finder I bought is indeed not functional.

The Cannon is the big one on the right side, one for sale/trade is like new, has depth counter, pretty easy to mount on kayaks with rails. Must be mounted on right side.

Though my boat hasn't been on the water, I have, and after about 8 months of trying, I finally got my first solo steelhead, and he was a brute! Have showed the pics to several guides I know, and they estimate 35+ inches, 12-15 lbs. For reference, my shoe is 12" long...

He was so red and so big, the first few times he rolled/jumped, I thought I had hooked a spawner salmon. Put up quite the fight! I had foolishly left my net about 50' upstream, and I must have reached to grab him at least 5 times, thinking he was exhausted, only for him to shoot back into deeper water. Luckily, was hooked perfectly in the corner of the mouth.

I hope evryone out there is doin well and gettin some fishin in!
Next week, weather depending, I hope to hit Siletz for more steel, and or Swan for some dinos, if anyone is interested.
Tight lines!
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Nice job keeping that big guy in the water while you took pics.  Great looking fish.
