Just checking on the beach and I watched this guy paddle in.
Walked down to the Toad Stools and is headed back out.

In the yellow circle.
I pulled up the webcam page and I saw something in the surf.
Then I watched it resolve into a guy in a white paddle kayak.
Got out of the surf and went north .
I was absolutely stunned.

I've seen some folks in touring kayaks with full skirts, wet suits, helmets, etc. go out in some pretty gnarly stuff - just to play in the waves.  Still seems really dumb to go out alone out of view of the beach, even if you're an experienced kayaker.

Oh, ok. I blew the picture up to as far as I could and what you have circled, still looked like a rock to me .

From that angle, it doesn't look bad.  Looks low and long intervals.
Thank you all for any kindness provided in the the Pacific Northwest.

GF has a friend back in Rhode Island who takes his white water yak out in Narragansett Bay and plays in some heavy waves. Of course the guy is a world class white water guy and makes it look easy. If I went out there It would be more a case of calling 911.  Lol.  Some people are good at it.
