Advice for Columbia sturgeon

I was thinking of heading up to the Columbia this weekend, to try for sturgeon.

I have never fished the Big C, and was hoping someone could recommend spots to launch and holes to fish?

Any info would be most appreciated!

That's a pretty broad question for a pretty big river.  Any particular area/region? A lot of kayakers head to the lower Willamette to the "Swan Island Basin" area. There is no current there so you don't have to anchor, which is nice.

A lot of the oversize fish below Bonneville come from around Beacon Rock and up. You may try reaching out to Uplandsandpiper and see if he has any advice; he seems to find oversized sturgeon on the kayak with ease.
