Never been ocean fishing before. Was thinking about trying Golden Gardens for some dogfish, maybe try salmon later on this summer. It's close to home and seems like a good place to get out on the Sound. Anyone up to go head out?

Check locally, I think the hours on GG got changed do to crime activity.

That's a bingo:

You can still launch by parking on the street and carting your boat to the boat launch or wherever you usually launch from. Honestly it's not a big change; in previous years the gates were still locked well after the official opening time of 4AM. Well, they can probably ticket you for trespassing now, but I'd hope they have better stuff to do.

as long as you don't interfere at ALL with the boat launch lanes (because it will be mayhem when salmon season starts in earnest) you can use the southernmost "lane", which is unusable by boats due to narrow width + some rocks, to quickly launch your yak. park on the street + wheel it over on a paved path. no gates to worry about, unlike GG.
