I'm in PC right now, heading out Friday morning at daylight.  Curious who all will be out here.  My wife is nervous I'm going alone, I told her not to worry  ;D.  White Tundra crew max with Thule rack.  Tan Emotion stealth angler, blue dry suit, green pfd.  My name is Denny, I'll be on UHF 69.  If I'm in fish I'm more than happy to share where I'm at.  Tight lines.

Planning on being on the beach around 6, so not at daylight. The current plan is to troll my way to where I will drop a crab pot. Troll back to a bit northwest of the rock and try for lingcod/cabezon. Then back to the rock assuming poor rockfish north. Pick up the pot (troll if I am the only loser who cant catch salmon). Looks like wind may dictate.

GreyF150. Lime green Outback. Black and Yellow dry suit. aka Bob driving down from West Linn on the way to the ORC Sat. Always on 69

SD2OR and I are discussing it. I believe he’s interested in lingcod and salmon; I’d be wanting to chase salmon. Maybe rock fish too.

I haven’t chased salmon out there before so am doing some research (where and when).

Looks like we’d have a low tide at 7:39 am; the wind will get nasty around noon and the secondary swell will start bucking a bit later.

I am dying to fish PC, especially considering the killer coho bite.
However, I have a pending rare offer to fish on a nice power boat tomorrow.
If I do go out tomorrow, I can't go out fri as well, but if tomorrow falls thru, I will be at PC fri.
How's everyone feelin bout the conditions?
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

If conditions stay like magic seaweed had them, the morning is going to be SWEET!

I'm about 2 hours out from PC. Looks like off the water by 11 or noon (due to wind), so let me try to amp myself up for an early morning. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. ;D

I hear ya Bob!
Would love to do both the powerboat out of Depoe tomorrow AND yak PC Fri, but I'm already tired.
Got up early today, biked 14 miles to fish a lake, with not much success.
Looks like it's gonna be pretty windy around Depoe tomorrow, and the few reports I've heard aren't amazing....
Thinking I'll likely join y'all Fri.

Lawyer Bob just showed me a nice lil map, that shows the best crabbing to be directly south of the rock, and maybe 1/2-3/4 mile directly north. As for how the crabbing has been, no idea. I would bring a trap if we were doing a full day, but I'm determined to get my first coho...

Have any of you been out for salmon lately?  I left all my salmon gear at home, but I saw a sporting good store here in Tillamook I could swing by and grab a couple things if it's been hot.  I generally don't fish salmon down here because I catch so many at home, this is when I target my rockfish and lings usually.

I have not. but the reports I'm seeing say the coho are/were in at PC and hot to trot. E.G.:

I have not been on the ocean for salmon this year, but yeah, see the Ocean salmon 2021 thread. That seems to be the story up and down the coast for the most part.
