Monday 8/16 ocean forecast is looking good, tides near perfect.  Anyone interested in meeting up at Fogarty Creek?  I'll likely launch around 7 or 7:30 AM - sage colored hobie outback hauled by the most beat up sedan in the parking lot (blue mazda).  Shoot me a PM if interested or reply here...

Tight lines,

LMII / Steve

I was planning the same tommorow. I'll be there about 7a.m. or 7:30am. Silver VW wagon, Camo Hobie PA 14. Salmon, rockfish or both?

My plan for Monday is to start with salmon then pivot to rockfish if conditions permit.  Undecided on whether to drop a crab pot or not - two kayakers got limits last time I was there dropping just north of the launch.  I'll wait for you if I'm there earlier, or I'll be straight off the beach monitoring ch 69 of you're running behind. I'll shoot you a PM if I get delayed or can't make it for some reason (baby at home).

Cheers!

There's a lot of wild fish.
I went 1 for 4 today.
180-200 feet of water straight out from the whistle buoy.

Cascadia and i launched around 7:45 this morning and I had my limit by 9:30, with the second boat's tag filled by 10:30. I went three for three, middle fish being wild, and Cascadia had one fish which he thought to be a Chinook break him off. Nice chunky coho about 10 lbs or more each. 75 to 90 FOW along a current line - that's it. Beautiful day, big smiles all around!!
