If the weather cooperates gonna head out to Eel lake to do a little down rigger testing tomorrow. Not too early, about 11:00 oclock. Anyone wanna go?

CBY... Can't make it ,, i marked something @ 25-30 ft in Eel Lake.  Didn't look like trout though,, more like a bait  ball, thinking maybe suspended black crappy ??

Was that left from the Dock? Last time i was there i was marking fish near the bottom in that 65 foot deep area, gonna try there first.

Yes,,, up the arm to the left at dock,  Nice rig, looks like it will work
well.   12inch trout don't work release well , good test run though royg

This last summer I went right of the dock and around the bend and had good luck. It is 60 plus feet deep there for a long way. Good luck! Want to try Winchester bay this week for sturgeon Roy?

I would love to try the Umpqua for sturgeon this week, but the tides aren't being very cooperative.

GD is right, the high tides are wack, matbe try the low tide at rocky point?

It was 43.5 at high tide...I'm hoping for about 4-5 degrees warmer tomorrow at low tide...pleaseeeee mom nature, be good to us..

i'm good to go tomorrow Zac. 11:00 AM sound good?

I up for it. I went this afternoon and it was summer compaired to the last time out. Had a cpl of bites during the low tide but when the tide came in it was dead.

Got out for a DR test today. Works killer. Only thing i'm gonna do is ditch the spectra and wind some 30 pound power pro for less drag. I was only using a 1 pound weight, at 1mph the blowback was nominal but anything over blew it back pretty good. The luddite isn't much of a photographer. At least my whole yak is in this picture... ::

I'm sportin my third place prize....
