It’s been a long time since I had the kayak in the water (ocean).  Wife and I went to Salt Spring Island for the weekend to visit family and the house is directly across from the pier.  We brought the tandem as she wanted to get out on the water with me.  We caught a few rock crab and released them as we don’t particularly like rock crab.  I know my battery is old and neglected but I figured I might be able to squeeze a little out of it.  I charged it for a while, but it only held enough juice for the fish finder load screen before it went dead again.  We dropped a line but the tide was ripping through the channel way too fast so we pulled the line out and just enjoyed the afternoon.  A few sea lions and a few dolphins greeted us on our adventure.  All in all, it was a good day and it felt good to get back on the water.
