I recently got a new gorilla pod that I use to take self portraits while in my kayak. If you don't know what a gorilla pod is, it's a tripod that has nice flexible arms that can wrap around just about anything.

You can see it mounted on my rod holder in front of me in this shot.


There was a sale going on (30% off with coupon code SNAPSHOT) with free shipping form the manufacturer's store http://www.joby.com a few weeks ago when I got mine.  I don't know how long that coupon code is good for, but I was able to get mine for about $16.


Anyway, talking to INSAYN yesterday while fishing he mentioned that he could probably make one out of some segmented hose he had lying around.  I told him that I'd actually seen something about that on the internet so here it is...

Yes Zee, I have made my own duct tape wallet, but I don't use it.  My son Owen plays with it.
