Out chasing Kokanee yesterday and finally got to taking some pics of the crazy stuff my finder does. Anyone seen any of this? These pics were all just trolling around Merwin in 100’+ of water

Also, I am seriously thinking of getting my money back and learning a new system.

Garmin vs Humminbird - 7” with Sonar maps (I do love the Navionics in the Lowrance)

Also, check the water temp?!?!  Pretty sure it was NOT 76+ degrees

Offhand thoughts:
• First things first, power up and switch on your DEMO Mode. See if your display works & looks fine. IF that looks OK, you may have a transducer or tranx cable problem, maybe a seal leak at the cable/transducer interface shorting the wire contacts, a broken wire inside the cable with intermittent contact, possibly the plug end to the display has a cold solder joint from wire to plug, etc. Again, fastest confirmation would be to hook the unit to another person's rig and transducer if your display works fine in Demo Mode.

• Transducers are notorious for being susceptible to the slightest amount of contamination on the surface of the transducer plastic. This often occurs on powerboats launching in a "dirty" marina where oil slicks are around the boat ramp from 2-cycle exhaust and it coats the unit as its dropped in the water. Not likely in your case, but check the transducer surface.

• Also electronics do get glitches on rare occasions, so pull the power cable from the back of the display and give it a minute or two to de-energize the circuitry. Then plug in and power up.

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Thanks for the tip on demo mode. I also have my old Hobie that has the 5” version of this FF that I could hook it up too. Showed the pics to the dealer I got it from and his guess was a bad transducer. Suggested I call Lowrance as he said sometimes the will just send a new transducer. I will check to see if there is gunk on it, but I am guessing it is clean. I am pretty sure I did a solid job wiring it up to make sure there were not water issues. Appreciate the tips/assistance
