Checking the weather (partly sunny and mild winds) and the tides (late morning high tide), I am feeling a solid case of Salmonitis coming on. Probably looking at Austin Pt at least one of the days, probably Thur. Want to try out the AP120 for some plug/wobbler fishing! Then a game day call for Friday. Maybe on the Willamette in the harbor.

Anyone else looking to get out?

I'm free Fri, and as of right now, weather looks great in PDX area.
I've yet to get a nook in my yak, really hoping to change that this year....
If you plan on going Fri, please give me heads up of when n where you're launching!
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

I think I've got a case of the salmonitis coming on too tomorrow. I'm thinking Sellwood as well. High tide is at 11:12am at the Morrison Street Bridge. So probably getting to Sellwood around 7 or 730 and fishing the incoming and high slack.

I am waffling between Austin Point to try wobbler fishing on the outgoing tide or fishing the head of the channel. won't get on the water til early afternoon. Depending on how I do and how the folk hitting Sellwood do will determine the Friday plan. I will let you know how it goes.

After hearing about the huge crowd at Oregon City, thinking I may do Sellwood instead tomorrow as well. Hopefully not as crowded there...

There was nothing happening in Austin Point today. Just a handful of boats. One person lost one. I think I’m gonna hit the harbor tomorrow probably launch a Cathedral Park first Thing and fish through the high slack

20 or so boats at Sellwood today, heard of a couple caught and saw direct evidence that a kayaker took one.
No love for me or the other yaker out there, back at it tomorrow.

Well, I did Oregon city today, got there about noon.
Boats everywhere, figured people were catching.
Most were anchored n plunkin, some were drifting and jiggin.
A herring of mine got chewed up under the bridge, likely a lil cat or dino.
Had something pop my line out of the downrigger clip once.
Twas a lovely day on the water despite the number of boats and a bit of wind.
I landed about four o clock, and the fish checker said only two fish had been reported there today.
Some sea lions about, I figure there had to be a few fish in the area.
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?
