Anyone else looking at the forecast? Friday and Saturday look like decent ocean/wind conditions but rainy. Later in the day Sat looks like the wind could suck if it kicks up early. Probably can't get out Friday, but thought I would see if anyone else was thinking about making a run.

MSW shows the main swell as pretty acceptable, but the secondary is considerable too.
Looks fairly doable, but might be a lil rough. I might be down for Depoe Fri, if things improve a bit.
A day without fishing probably wouldn't kill me,
but why risk it?

Friday is currently looking like the better of the two days. However, given the crazy-ass weather we're currently experiencing on the coast, I'm leery of all forecasts right now. Just today, we had everything from rain to hail to snow showers, not to mention the low 40 degree temps.

If the Friday forecast firms up in the next few days, I'll try to swing it. You know where I'll be  ;).

I am watching the forecast closely and chomping at the bit to get on the water. The weather sure seems to be changing drastically all over the NW right now. Currently snowing hard in Salem. So far Friday is still looking decent if the forecast is correct.

Only thing that seems likely right now is that the swell won't be huge this weekend. Beyond that, there is no consistency among my usual cadre of forecast sites. It'll probably be fishable Friday through Sunday, but whether or not it's comfortable remains uncertain.

Sadly, I can'take it out on the ocean tomorrow. I hope all of those that venture out find full limits of big hungry fish!

I am going to watch the forecast and listen for reports in hope of a Saturday morning run.

I was the only kayak at Fogarty this morning. Ocean was easy, and so was the fishing. Several lings in the mid-30 inch range came out to play. I bonked a limit relatively quickly, released a few incidental quillbacks and blacks. A few Chinook have been caught here recently, so I trolled a Brad's Cut Plug around for a couple hours for one shaker Chinook around 15". My first Chinook of 2022, so that's something  ::).

Nice!
I'm jealous as always. Might have been able to get everything together n get out there today, but decided not to, as I have a flight to Peru tomorrow at 4am. The fish will be there when I get back, hopefully, and how many chances am I gonna get to see Machu Picchu?
Good work man, hope to see ya when I get back!

I thought about it but it has been a BEAST of a week at work. Hoping to get out after May 1st if the Halibut Gods (or ODFW) will allow...
