Any of you guys and gals members at Thousand Trails? They have locations where I'd like to stay and fish - mainly PC, Astoria, Bend, Florence, etc.
We just have a small pop-up trailer so pretty basic needs.
How easy is it to find availability? What's the good, the bad, and the ugly?

Tried it several years ago, the annual zone pass only has 90 day booking window so you won't get in to Florence, Pacific City, South Beach or Seaside Oregon during the high season (July - Sept). Need at least a 120 day booking window from one of the lifetime memberships. If you want to buy a life membership buy a used one, MUCH cheaper.  These people are great brokers and guide you through the process: https://www.campgroundmembershipoutlet.com

We had a trial membership for a year, and have also stayed a few times just as a non-member, which has a shorter window for reservations.

The campground in PC is ok-to-good, depending on the site you get, and of course your "reservation" is not site specific, so it becomes first-come to pick your location. Some of the sites are pretty short and wouldn't work for a very long RV/trailer, but just about all would work for a short popup.

Also, you could very well end up in the "overflow" area, which is pretty much just a gravel parking lot.

If you primarily arrive mid-week this is less of a concern. Would stay there again, if we were arriving Monday-Wednesday. After that its a crap shoot.

The one below Newport is in better condition, maintenance-wise. Have never used the one in Wheeler.
