Hi everyone!

I’m excited to start exploring the waters around Whidbey Island and attempting to catch some sea creatures. I grew up fishing rivers and lakes with my grandpa but this will be a brand new adventure into the saltwater. I’d be grateful for any advice or recommendations from more experienced folks! I figure I’ll start small, maybe drop some crab pots, do some squid jigging, and try to get some bottom fish… work my way up to the big ones; catching a halibut from a kayak has been a dream since I was a little kid. When I’m not dreaming about kayak fishing you can find me in my garden, hiking, or reading.
