Dude!  And have you see the guy who rows it?   >:D

Calm down now buddy, I know you're a little sensitive about the size of your ride so I thought I'd poke that fun right back attcha.  ;D

But, don't forget that I'm one of those who voted to let you in the AOTY.   :-*

The lack of water to put it in is the only problem, right now.

As for the shuttle, it wasn't ideal as it took several trips to get the job done, but having three people was nice in that someone could always stay with the gear.

You know, there is a TRAILER parked in front of my house that will accommodate 3 yaks easy and 4 if you think about it. Again, your more than welcome to use it.

If you have a mtn bike and are in decent shape you can skip the shuttle.  I have done this many times on the wilson. I can recommend removing your waders first so you don't cook.  Doesn't work well on all rivers but for ones like the wilson or trask it is doable (depending on the drift you do).

I guess this just depends on how comfortable one is leaving their yak and all the gear unattended for a while?

That's the part that keeps me from even trying a river float. I guess I could pay a shuttle service to deliver my car to the take out.

I used a shuttle service last fall on the Nestucca.  It's a little expensive for one person but it sure was nice to be able to just pull up and launch and then find my car waiting for me downstream.  8)

I've used a lock on my boat and a pack to carry my gear.

Thanks Scott, I was just calming down from Sunday's excitement and you have to go and post these.  Now I want to get back out there again.

Also, thanks for letting me borrow your net.  My little folding one, wasn't really working to well.

Count me in too!  Now that the river has come up, we could hit the upper river where no drift boat has been in years.
