Anybody aware of an obituary being published for Tinker?  I would like to learn a bit more about the man whose kayak I now paddle and who gave me so much gear.

I subscribe to the Port Orford News and have not seen one so far. I couldn't find one online just now. His name was Kevin B McHugh. I know he had been in the coast guard and moved here from Arizona. His wife,  Barb, died several years ago from cancer. He was real good at tying flies. He's got relatives around Salem. He was a dog lover. That's about all the factual stuff I could add. I enjoyed fishing and corresponding with him for several years. I met him via Oregon Fishing Forum due to the Port Orford connection. He was actually banned from OFF after he got negative reputation points for using the word "piss" in a post. Then he got in some late-night exchange with a moderator and got banned. Too bad because he helped keep the discussions going over there.

I'm hoping for it , too.

I wonder if blindly emailing his personal accounts would result in a response from his kids as they deal with his things??

@ crabman; by chance did he leave any kind of " notify if found" label inside the yak you now own? Was thinking there'd be a phone number .....

Edit; I put my fingers where my big mouth is and blindly emailed his personal account. All I can do now is hope it gets answered

Edit 9 Jan 25, 0115:

No reply from Tinkers personal account, not even a hint of obituary from local papers that I can find.
