I made the trip out to Johnson Outdoors today, had a great time looking at dry suits etc., and found out that they are having a significant sale.  The sale we're talking about is 50% of PFD's, 60% off ExtraSport Tech Wear, and 15% off all drysuits. The official sale is just from 3/20 through 3/22, but the representative (forgive me for forgetting his name) said he'd honor those prices from now through the end of the month!  Good deal for us northern WA folks.  I REALLY should have gotten the name of the rep I was talking about, but I'm sure if you mention NWKA it'll jog his memory.

I didn't check that.  They do have lots in stock, a pond to test in, and great staff.

Well, I was planning on heading up there tomorrow to pick and yak for the wife and other stuff for me but one my day went to crap and now I'm broke.  I ended up having to buy two new tires for one of my trucks, another started running horribly, and my xbox 360 crapped out (red ring of death).  Bad things come in three's, right?  Hopefully that's it for the bad luck for a while.

Let me know next time one of these sales happens.  Maybe I'll have better luck the next time around.

I was at Johnson Outdoors on Friday.  You won't believe some of the prices.  An 11' Caper Angler, $320.  T13, yum-yum yellow, with rudder, $607.....  Those are the 2 locked in my head. 50% of ALL paddles.  It was a virtual madhouse in there on Friday at 11am.  I'm gonna bet the store is near stripped before noon on Sunday. I'd call before heading up if it's a long trip.  I spent all my reserves and borrowed heavily from the present and future WAF fund, and got a drysuit and booties.  I'll be broke for a while, will need to save up for bottomfish tackle for Sucia.  :o

heh, no,  i didn't, but the deals were absolutely insane.. am trying to upload pics now.

they even had a Zest and a P13 w/rudder there in the color i've wanted, lime, but i couldnt get them to part with the ZEST, forgot about the P13 in all the excitement.. but, no, there was plenty of stuff left when i walked out.

let's just say i spent under $800 and drove back with almost $1800 in gear etc..

this is what i unloaded off the top of my truck this morning

peel back the plastic and wrapping paper to reveal;

a brand new PT13!!

like i said the prices and deals were insane. i can't say enuff good about all the help the staff there gave me in making my selections.. just wish i could have come back with the 2 other boats i wanted besides the one i did.. next time i get to go there, i'm going early for more color selection..

polepole: Edited pic links so they work correctly.
