Dry Suit Expiration

Has anybody had their dry suit completely fail at the seams or anything else? Is there an average amount of lets say, seasons or years that a dry suit might last?

Just curious, I'm gonna buy one no matter what. I know anything can be repaired on these things but does a dry suit only stop getting used by the owner when he/she buys a better one? I suppose there has to be a point at which there is so much wear on the material that it fails in many areas within a short period of time.

The seals fail in anywhere from 1 to 6 years or more depending on care and use. They are relatively easy to replace (or have replaced). The seams "should" not fail under "normal" use for,,,, a good while. 

Kokatat has a lifetime warranty that they are pretty liberal with. Most of the time they replace with a new suit on the rare occasion there is a factory defect (or good story that sounds like a factory defect)

Can't say enough about their product, warranty, and service.

I love my Kokatat.  However, even with stretching the neck with a coffee can my face still turned purple today, when I tried it on again.

Try rubbing in seal saver on those gaskets. When they dry, they tend to shrink, and they are tightest when new. The seal saver will make the latex more malleable=softer & stretchier so it won't feel so tight.

I also pull the top of the gasket below my adams apple. seems to help.
