I am going to get my things together after work in the morning and then I will head that way.  Hopefully I will get there around launch time.  I agree we are going to have to work for our fish tomorrow since it was a little rough this last week.

Managed to get out for a couple hours this morning. Met Bill(Pisco Sicko), he was already on the water for quite a while when we got there. We all caught one black each, Your last place is safe Jay....

It was still pretty rough and stirred up like i figured it would be. Was cold and it started raining after the first hour. had to work for it. Lingzilla didn't want to play today.

I tried to make it but, when I got off of work I had some family issues to deal with.  Sorry for standing you guys up, I am sure there will always be next time.  At least some fish were caught.  I am going to try making it to Coos Bay tomorrow to restock my tacklebox with some jigs.

You didn't miss much, really. Pretty soon there will be some good tuesdays for ya. Englund Marine has the best prices on lead and plastics in Coos Bay. Boat Basin Tackle has a great selection of plastics but a little more expensive.

CBY,
I'll be there this weekend. Haven't checked the weather yet, but got to be there anyway to work on the place & go to a marine reserve meeting in Charleston on Friday night. It would be great if you, Ralph & whoever else from the South Coast Crew could attend. I think RoyG will be there & he has more details. I'll call when I get to town. Would love to fish if conditions warrant, no joke.

OMR  meeting will be in the Charleston marina RV park rec. room at 5 pm on this friday,, April 3...
Not a gripe session,, there will be some people there wanting input on how you use the ocean and the value of the areas some want to take away .
Users with human powered craft need to be heard from.
This proably should be in Politics section ,, but this is up..

It was great to see CBY and RevoRoy out there. Got a bunch of photos that I need to download and post, but I'm still on the road.

It was a lumpy day, but the best of the week. Winds and swells went up a bunch, starting on Wednesday.

The cool thing about staying at Sunset Bay State Park was that I was able to use my cart to wheel the wherry from the campsite, to the launch site. It was at least a quarter mile portage, but totally flat and easy. It made it easy to slip out and not wake the family.

Are there any fish to be caught inside the bay itself?   I'm thinking of the option of fish that my kids could shoot for.

I may have to book a campsite down there sometime.  Looks like a really easy walk to the launch for sure.

you could probably target greenling and small blacks on the inside of the mouth though I have never tried.
Enjoy the ride!
