I plan on launching out of marina above Sauvie Island and paddling up to my spot where we caught 2 keepers last week.  With our newly made trollys and anchor systems, plan on fishing low tide.  If anyone wants to join me and my friend......Would love the company of some experienced fishers out there!

Where you all heading?

I have not one, but two pre-school birthday parties to attend with my son.  If I can somehow convince my wife she can do that without my (~5% chance of that) I'll be there for some sturgeon fishing and maybe some salmon trolling.

I'm planning on hitting Monterrey Bay this weekend, weather permitting.  Some reports of early butts down here.  And many reports of large spots of squid ... think white sea bass!!!  Fingers crossed.

Not entirely sure yet.  We were out front of Santa Cruz last Wednesday (not fishing) and saw a large spot of bait right on the butt grounds.  But there are reports of a lot more bait between Capitola pier and the cement ship.  And reports of a lot of squid off Monterrey, enough that the commies have been working them every night.  We'll monitor the reports and make the call the evening before.  It's early still, but there is some action there to be had.
