I'm thinking about a T-13 and T-15 for the spouse and myself. They would mostly be used on lakes for fly fishing and camping trips - not a whole lot of salt around here in Colorado. Is the rod pod worth it to go with the angler version of these boats? Also, is there an adapter to use Scotty fly rod holders with the rod holders included with the angler versions, or do you need to install the Scotty base?

If they are the factory installed flush mount rod holders like I got on my P-13...I only use them for things like a net, gaff, FLAG when they come to fruition.
pretty loose and way behind me to be of use while under way as a rod holder.
My rod holder is a piece of PVC, maybe some one with real rod holder mounts will pipe up soon.

I got the triedent without the angler. but did pick up the rod pod. .Didnt like the placement of the rod holders. but i do like the ability to reach my rod without having to do alot of moving around.

I believe you'll have to buy the Scotty mount seperate because the factory rod holders are the flush mount style. I have the Scotty fly rod holder and I think it works great.
I can't chime in on the rod pod though since I don't have a Trident but I like the idea of the system.
