coast trip, 4-30 anyone?

Looking at the surf report for the week it looks like we might be looking at some pretty easy surf on Thursday. Thinkin about heading out to PC, Depoe Bay, somewhere in between... Anyone up for rocks & lings on the 30th?

You know I'd be up for it!   

Unfortunately I have 52 card pickup around the house, and kinda locked myself into fabbing up a board breaking stand for my kids Tae Kwon Do instructor.  I've been putting it off since before Christmas. 

Oh, and dang it - I still need to get a new reel for my primary ocean rod.

I might be up for it depending on a couple things. Where are you leaning towards fishing?  If you are going out of PC I would be interested as most of my gear is already at the coast (netarts)I  would need to swing by there first, or just head down the night before. Seconed, I was planning on being in the PC area bear hunting on thursday but my hunting buddy has a sick kid so that might get moved. If the hunting falls though I would totally be in for some salt time. 

 I checked that forecast. Man, that looks prime.. If there were a day to burn a sick day, Thursday would be one of them.

I really wanted to check out Fogharty Creek State Park, but it doesn't really matter to be honest, I guess I just wanted to take advantage of the way the surf is looking later this week. I'd be up for PC too. To tell you the truth, I'm not 100% sure that I'll be able to swing it too, seems I've been doing a lot of kayaking lately.
I guess just lemme know what it looks like for ya.

I was thinking about a coast trip wednesday / thursday too.  Ocean conditions look pretty good, and some rockfish / lingcod fishing sounds like fun.

If I hadn't burned through so much WAF (wife approval factor) this past weekend, I'd be all over the idea of getting a little salty.  That and I've been using the excuse of not having enough days off this year to make trips down to Fresno to see my in-laws.

I'm gonna give Cape Kiwanda a shot.  Maybe some fishing late afternoon wednesday and  thursday morning for sure.  Let's hope the surf and wind take a day off.

If my boss in Maryland would give me some feed back on some analysis he wants done by the end of the week I could bust by a$$ and finish it by tomorrow afternoon and take Thursday off.  But it's late on the East Coast right now and no feedback for me today.

What I really need is a waterproof laptop and a satellite internet connection.  He'd never have to know that I was fishing while I was running my analysis.
