What would Pisco do with an 200lb halibut in a yak? I believe it would be a blast until you actually had to paddle to shore towing this monster. Just hope it was hooked close to the launch.
Would you strap it to the hood of your car to get it home? Or maybe stop at the local store and buy all their coolers - sounds like a good economic recovery plan to me.
Did you see the comments on halibut derby's? A lot of noise about the derby's taking the reproducing females.
Personally I don't think this is a problem as most of the time large halibut are rarely in the sound.

I have shore fished out of Point Wilson and it seems ideal because you can go to either side of the point to catch the tide or hide from the wind.

The problem now is getting there. The Hood Canal bridge is closed until June :(

Maybe the halibut know this and are just teasing us because we can't get to them :'(
Those that plan the battle rarely battle the plan, unless it involves fishing!
