So had a work trip yesterday and was near some nice fishing waters so threw the i9s in the back of the truck, a rod, and 3 lures. I wasn't even sure I'd get to fish so didn't bother with anything more. I get a call 15 min. from my destination and the client says he'll be an hour late. SCORE! I was early so had about two hours to fish. Got to the water, pumped up the yak and took off. Casting around an old jerkbait for a bit with not much action but a few bites. Then I hook up.. and it's off. Hook up.. and it's off. I reel it all the way back in cursing the dull hooks but give it another shot in the same place and BAM!! I was sure it was a good LMB but when I got my first look it was way off. Too long and skinny. Next time it came up I was like WALLEYE!! Horsed that badboy in and landed!! Whooo! :headbang:

Now the real problem began. I brought no gear so no CPR and no cooler, stringer, or anything. So I jam back to launch throw the fish in back and fold up the yak. Haul butt looking for the nearest store and as luck would have it found a Freddie's. Got a cooler, fillet knife, and two bags of ice. Cleaned the fish in the parking lot and packed it in ice. Went back in the store, washed myself down to get the stink off and took off for the meeting. But when I get to the parking lot it's in full sun and it's well over 80 degrees. :(

The cooler wasn't that good so was worried about the fish turning to a pile. So I made an excuse every hour or so to drain the water. When the meeting was over I ran out and replaced the ice and headed home. Got home late and went to bed.. when I realized I hadn't even taken a pic! Ran downstairs, took a pic and it was over. 21.5" Walleye in the bag!

After that steelhead episode, I just don't believe you. No yak in the picture and too many excuses buddy.  Not to mention the fact that it looks like EOBasser's photography ;)  And, don't try to claim Brian as a witness.  >:D

BTW:  Nice job!
