And I LOVE it! I went fishing with a buddy the other day on the Abiqua River in Silverton and wasn't having any luck with the dry flies. I decided to try one of the several nymphs I have in my box, a bead headed prince, and used one of the indicators that I tied up over the winter and killed it! Several small 6-10" fish were caught before hooking up on a 14-16" bruiser that broke my 6x knotless leader after about 5 seconds of being on. He jumped about 4 times in that 5 or so seconds and now I'm addicted! Can't wait to do it again tomorrow!

Tight lines...
Chris

The bead head prince nymph was the staple fly all winter when I lived and fly fished in Colorado.  And the smaller the fly, the bigger the fish.  Good stuff.

Yes the Elwha and indian creek just opened up this last weekend and that is a good tactic for that river system.
We may live without poetry, music, and art
We may live without conscience and live without heart
We may live without friends, we may live without books;
But civilized man cannot live without cooks

Sarge: Wait until you try it with a fast-sink line in a lake. Nymphs work all day long, so you don't have to hit the morning and evening "bites". All the other fly uys will have gotten off the water, and you're out there just banging the fish at high noon ... :laugh:
