OK so I need some feedback for Prize Ideas for June 20Th HOW tourney.

The guide who brings in the top scoring team at the end of the day will be getting a certificate of appreciation, a certificate stating that they guided the winning team at (event name? ..June 2009).  We are also going to be giving prizes to first place guide and second.  For first place were looking at something in the $200 range and second $50.
Now  this is going to be real lame if we only get 2 people to show up and guide.  You guys should consider this a chance for a little friendly competition between yourselves.  I am still looking for kakaks.  The more I can scrounge up the more guides we can put on the water.
If you know of someone you think I should call PLEASE let me know.
Gentleman/ladies this event is going to happen.  even if I have to go down somewhere and rent them myself.  These guys will be given the chance to enjoy our sport and like us I'm sure they will love it!
I will use this thread to track anything you plan to contribute to the June 20Th HOW event.
Thank you!  Brian

I mentioned in an earlier post that I scored two G-loomis salmon plug rods at Joe's.  I will give one up (brand-new never used) as a 1st prize (retails @ $270)
I know allot of the guys up here are about the Lammi's so this might not work..let me know.
Yes I am shamelessly bribing you guys but these soldiers are worth it :)

I already plan on being there, but a G. Loomis rod would be a FABULOUS prize!

Awesome!
Oh and just to clarify..Should I be the winning guide.. whatever has been established for a prize will be sold to the highest bidder at the event and the money will be donated to a charity of the winners choice in their name (H.O.W. maybe ;D?)

A smile and a handshake are all I need from my fellow vets, but free stuff is always good.  How about some KASA/HOW stickers?  I'll be there either way with my yak and gear.  If there's not enough yaks to go around, I'll provide shore support. ;D

BTW... Not all of us are Loomis people; I'm an Ugly Stick guy 'cause they're sailorproof.

OK we are up to 5 Kayaks now.  We are still short about 10.  We want to have one guide for two soldiers.
I have spoken to allot of people about this event.  It would help me organize things a bit better if you could email me and let me know a few things..

Will you be here on the 18Th for the pre-event meeting on the 18Th?
Are you coming down for the June 20Th event?
Can you bring an extra kayak? (how many)
Can you bring any extras (paddles, pft's, rods-reels, tackle)
Would you like to be a guide or give a kayak fishing clinic at the pre-event or at the lake?
Would you be able to help move kayaks around on the day of the event (to the lake)?
Do you need a place to crash the night before the event (my house etc)?

I'm sorry if you already gave me this information and I forgot.  If you could re-tell me at  [email protected]  it would be great!!
Thanks, Brian

Thank's Brian.  Thank's Amos.  Emails sent.  I will post the tracker sheet on the site Friday night so that everyone can see where we are at.
