Holding a 15# cabezon.  That's a 12# model in the yak too.

Caught at Sombrio in B.C. in 2007.  The 15# one was hooked while I was securing the 12# one on the game clip.  Got another 15# unit the next day too.  Unreal Cabezon fishing!!!  I caught the 3 biggest cabs I've ever seen that weekend, all caught on a mini motor oil worm on a lightweight spinning outfit.

25" cabezon caught the year before (April 2006) at Sombrio as well.  On a glow Salas 6X iron.  If you're looking for trophy sized cabs, Sombrio has them.  And some nice lings, butts, and rockies too.  The same weekend put out this nice ling which hitchhiked on an underling as well as Fishin-T's butt.  It was the first kayak caught NWKA butt.  This was the weekend we first started NWKA, a good way to start off the site with a bang.

I don't know if I've ever caught a 15# cabbie, mostly because I don't carry a scale with me.

The last one I caught, last month in San Juans, was healthy. I have no idea what a fat 24" cabbie would scale out to. I caught a nice one out around Sekiu/Neah Bay a couple of years ago, but that photo is stored on another computer.

If I recall correctly, the 15 pounder was ~32-33 inches and the 25 incher was about 8 pounds.

Here's a pic of the 15# from the second day.
