This wasn't kayak caught, but I wanted to get his thread going because I need some motivation to get out to the rivers this winter! Anyone have some good steelhead pics? This was my first and only steelhead so far. I didn't get a chance to weigh him, but he was maybe a good 15 lbs.

Most everyone saw this one recently, but hey...I'll throw it down again!  I'm trying to make it to the John Day by Thurs. this week and see what I can do.

This one always get's me fired up:

My girlfriend caught this 15# native on the Van Duzen in N. CA. before I could even get the truck parked after unloading the boat. To make it worse she had been talking trash about how steelhead fishing was "caveman sh*t".

To credit her "superior intellect", she's never caught another fish, and this pic was from 2004. >:D

columbia river hatchery fish caught this morning at the end of my 1 hour of fishing.-, 24", 4# hang weight, not from the kayak, but an honest catch the same.  no net
